Unveiled in April 2025, the “I Love You” statue is a nine-foot-tall public art installation in Myrtle Beach’s Arts & Innovation District. Created by artist Bob Doster in collaboration with students from the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind, the sculpture features hundreds of small hands forming the American Sign Language sign for “I Love You.” This heartfelt piece symbolizes inclusivity, love, and community connection. As the fourth of its kind in South Carolina, following installations in Columbia and Spartanburg, it has quickly become a beloved landmark and popular photo spot for visitors and locals alike.
Downtown's newest mural is complete! Titled "We Move Forward Together" - this mural captures the vibrancy of the present and the possibilities of the future of downtown Myrtle Beach. The mural is located in the alleyway of 517 9th Avenue N in the heart of the Arts and Innovation District. The place: Crooked Hammock at Barefoot Landing is known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality craft beers, and tasty pub-style food. The highlight of this huge facility is its backyard area with eclectic decor, games like bocce, ping pong, and cornhole, and lots of spots to kick back including in a cozy hammock. Visitors can also post up in the taproom, tour the brewing facility, or hang out on the rope swings at the Tortuga Island bar.

Leadership Grand Strand (LGS) Class 45 recently completed a transformative outdoor project at Ability Beyond Barriers, a nonprofit supporting individuals with intellectual and related disabilities, autism, and brain and spinal cord injuries. The revitalized space now features a secure fence, a welcoming picnic shelter, a durable concrete pad, and refreshed landscaping. A standout addition is a vibrant mural depicting a rising sun over the ocean, accompanied by the phrase “Brilliance in Diversity.” This project exemplifies the spirit of Leadership Grand Strand, bringing together emerging leaders to make a tangible difference in the community. The new outdoor area provides those served by Ability Beyond Barriers with a welcoming space to gather and connect. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on June 24, 2025, to celebrate the completion of the project.
Unveiled by the City of Conway and A Father’s Place, this vibrant “Dads Make a Difference” Mural along Racepath Avenue depicts a young boy and girl surrounded by bold, uplifting colors. Installed at A Father’s Place—a nonprofit that empowers dads through positive, goal-focused programs—the mural honors the mission of supporting fathers in building healthier, more hopeful futures for their children.
